What are the best songs to play on acoustic guitar? This article provides biased opinion on what I believe to be the best songs you should learn how to play on acoustic lead guitar.

Acoustic guitar doesn’t just have to be acoustic. It can be a lead guitar or an electric
one too. If you play it alone without plug ins then it will be deemed a nice little
acoustic set up. Now what do I believe are the best songs to play on acoustic guitar?

I personally enjoy old hits from the Beatles. I think a great song to learn how to
play on an acoustic lead guitar would be the song Let It Be by the Beatles. According to
WikiAnswers.com, “George Martin was the producer of the original sessions. Glyn Johns did some post-production work later in 1969. Neither man’s efforts satisfied the Beatles.
Phil Spector was brought in to see what he could do, after years of wanting to ‘produce
the Beatles’, and did the final post-production work on the song.”

Phil’s overdubs and other touches went against the spirit of the original project, which
was to make a “live album” in the studio, and particularly upset Paul McCartney, who
hated the work done to “The Long And Winding Road”, but it made the album complete and saleable.

To this day, Let It Be is one of the easiest and yet virtually rewarding pieces of music
and one of the best songs to play on acoustic guitar. Any acoustic guitar will do. Other
great songs include numerous hits from Pink Floyd, John Denver, The Stones & Sabbath. Also I’ve been hearing from many sources that just about any song can be duplicated and played on acoustic lead guitar from the infamous Neil Young.

A little food for thought! How ever if you are new to the world of acoustic and lead guitars and would like to learn to play better than most artists, visit my website today and learn even more of the best songs to play on acoustic guitar.
